Mary E. Kennedy, a Boston native, received her BFA in Acting and Directing with a concentration in Theatre Education from Emerson College. She has taught Improv Comedy for High School Students at UCLA Extension’s Summer Program, Glendale Community College’s Senior Outreach Program and at The Oakwood School in North Hollywood. She currently teaches Sitcom, Commercial and Improv Acting for Kids ages 5-17 at the Lankershim Arts Center in North Hollywood. This program has participated in the West Hollywood Book Fair, North Hollywood Arts Fair and in various industry showcases.
She can also be seen as Officer Trudy Lange on NBC’s ER. She hosted the new reality show pilot Breaking In for SPIKE Television and her comedy has been showcased on Comedy Central, SPIKE and the USA Network. Currently, she tours with the live comedy show, Mom’s Night Out; comedy devoted to the trials and tribulations of being a mom! Her one woman show, Calls from the Purse recently was a part of the solo festival at the Whitefire Theatre in Los Angeles. For more information, go to
